1. Privacy Policy & Zero-Knowledge Architecture

SmartPayCheck ("we", "our", "us") is dedicated to protecting your personal and financial privacy. The SmartPayCheck web tools and iOS application operate on strict zero-knowledge, local-storage principles.

Zero-Knowledge Shift & Wage Data: All shift entries, hourly rates, cash tips, credit card tips, income targets, and workplace tags logged within the mobile application are stored exclusively on your device using local storage mechanisms. We do not operate remote databases that store your entries, and we cannot access, view, share, or sell your financial records.

Web Calculations: All paycheck calculations on the website are computed locally within your browser using client-side JavaScript. No sensitive financial information is transmitted to or logged on our servers.

In-App Purchases & Subscriptions: Mobile in-app purchases and subscription entitlements are securely handled through Apple StoreKit and RevenueCat solely for transaction processing, receipt validation, and active Pro license verification. No personal shift data or wage history is shared with these services.

Analytics & Cookies (Web Only): On the web version, third-party vendors (including Google) may use cookies or analytics tags to analyze site traffic and serve contextual advertisements based on prior visits. Users can manage personalized advertising preferences via their browser settings or Google Ads Settings.

2. Terms of Use & Subscription Terms (EULA)

By using the SmartPayCheck web application or iOS mobile application, you agree to these terms:

• Informational Purposes Only: SmartPayCheck is a personal record-keeping and estimation utility. Shift summaries, tax cap tracking, and exported PDF/CSV statements do not constitute certified tax, legal, or accounting advice, and do not replace official employer-issued wage statements (such as W-2 or 1099 forms).
• SmartPayCheck Pro Subscriptions: SmartPayCheck offers optional auto-renewing Pro subscriptions (Monthly or Annual) unlocking unlimited shift history, multi-job tracking, and unlimited report exports.
• Billing & Payment: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID Account at confirmation of purchase.
• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• Subscription Management: You can manage and cancel your subscriptions at any time by going to your Account Settings on the App Store after purchase.
• Standard Apple EULA: Our mobile app terms incorporate the standard Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement: Apple Standard EULA.
